Dutch trumpet player Eric Vloeimans to switch to AMT We were just told by our Benelux distributor JT Music that one of the key figures on the European Improvisational Scene, the dutch trumpet player Eric Vloeimans, has chosen the P800 as the new microphone of his choice. After extensive testing he felt very comfortable with the P800. This is an extra great compliment, since Eric Vloeimans is very famous for his tonal quality and is known to be very picky about his amplification. His first appearance using his P800 will be July 14th at no less than the world’s biggest jazz festival: The North Sea Jazz Festival.

Some quotes:
'I was amazed at the strength of Eric's writing and playing. He was an inspiration and led the date with creative imagination. It was a pleasure to record with him. The music reveals what is best in the art of improvised music; thoughtful structures that allow the sensitivity of the musicians to come together to create something special and unique, that had never been before.' Marc Johnson 'It is always delightful to see trumpet player Eric Vloeimans at work. Whether he performes at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague or plays in a pub, you do not have to be bored for a minute. He is flashy when need be, but can also give one note so much soul that you're moved.' (Eddy Determeyer in the magazine JAZZ NU) 'Eric Vloeimans has developed into a stylist who cherishes lonely notes as precious jewels. He is capable of improvising on one single note, as Frank Zappa used to do.' (Dutch press)
'Vloeimans plays crisp and selfassured, embodying the articulate medolism of Clifford Brown plus many shades of Miles, without being imitative.' (Jazztimes Magazine) 'Beautiful technique, sublime formation of tone and not only that, Eric Vloeimans also possesses good feeling of style, good taste and an excellent talent for composition.' (Hifi Video Test magazine)
